Apakah Penyakit Gout?

Gout ni adalah keadaan dimana berlakunya keradangan yang menyebabkan kesakitan di bahagian tendon, sendi dan berlakunya pembengkakan. Sendi metatarsal-phalangeal di tapak kaki adalah tempat paling biasa terjadi Gout.

Apakah punca Gout?

Gout ni boleh disebabkan beberapa faktor. Antaranya sebab faktor genetik (keturunan), pemakanan dan masalah buah pinggang.

Gout juga adalah dikelaskan sebagai sebahagian dari penyakit artritis yang dikelaskan sebagai penyakit metabolik akibat asid urik yang berkumpul di bahagian sendi dan tisu lembut di sekeliling sendi terutamanya di bahagian kaki dan mengakibatkan kesakitan.

Bila asid urik di mendap, lama-kelamaan akan jadi hablur garam. Hablur ni lah yang mencetuskan rasa sakit sendi tu.

Pengambilan makanan berprotein tinggi seperti makanan laut, kekacang, daging merah dan daging organik tinggi pruine boleh mencetuskan Gout.
